A prize of $2,000 and publication by Noemi Press is given annually for one book-length poetry collection. The editors will judge.
POETRY: Poets at any stage in their career may submit a manuscript (no page limit) with a $30 entry fee by May 1, 2027. With your entry, you can elect to receive a random title (based on available inventory) from the Noemi Press catalog that has previously been a recipient of the Book Award. (Please note, due to duties, we are unable to ship outside of U.S. states and territories. We apologize for the inconvenience.)
All manuscripts are read anonymously. Strip your manuscript of all identifying material including dedications and acknowledgements; otherwise, the manuscript will not be considered.

The Etel Adnan Poetry Prize offers a $2,000 prize and publication by Noemi Press in the United States and Out-Spoken Press in the United Kingdom for a first or second full-length poetry collection written by a poet of Arab heritage. Submissions, which must be between 48-90 pages and in English, are made online through the Submittable system. The entry fee is $25, and the deadline is September 30, 2026.

- Eligibility: The prize is for a first or second book of poetry.
- Heritage: Authors must be of Arab heritage.
- Manuscript: The manuscript must be in English, a first or second book, and 48-90 pages in length.
- Previous Publications: Individual poems may have been published in journals, anthologies, or chapbooks.
- Simultaneous Submissions: Manuscripts under consideration or competition elsewhere are allowed, provided you notify the organizers immediately if they are accepted elsewhere.

Submissions, which must be between 48-90 pages, are made online through the Submittable system. The entry fee is $25, and the deadline is September 30, 2026.
